Walls Are Going Up!

This past weekend, my sister, brother-in-law and niece were spending the weekend in the Northwoods. We vicariously lived through them as they walked our property, stood in the house and took pictures so we could see the progress our builder is making.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

What once was a dream, became a drawing, which is now becoming reality with wood and concrete, nails and rebar. It’s hard to be so far away while the build is progressing, but our contractor regularly treats us with photos and videos of the site. We’ve also been lucky to have family and neighbors who check on things from time to time.

David and I will be making up trip up the week of Thanksgiving. We won’t be cooking in the house yet…we’ll need to wait for the spring until things are finished inside, but I’m sure we’ll be standing in our future dining room, taking in the view we’ll have for many meals to come.
